All-state girls lacrosse team released; 11 Section III players land on first team

Syracuse, N.Y. — Section III's best girls lacrosse players have been deservedly honored with spots on the recently released 2026 all-state team. Eleven Section III players worked their way onto first teams of the squads, which were compiled by the New York State Sportswriters Association. West Genesee's Sophia Lawrence and Payton Jeffery and Cicero-North Syracuse's Liz Smith made it out of Class A; Fayetteville-Manlius Taylor Novack and Watertown's Olivia Macutek are the B representatives; South Jefferson's Emma Kelley and Amalia Netto and Jamesville-DeWitt's Kylee Gallagher were honored from Class C; and Skaneateles' Grace Marquardt, Westhill's Sophia Lasher and Marcellus' Cece Powell.
