89th Texas Senior Amateur presented by Republic Aviation set for September 11-13

The 89th Texas Senior Amateur presented by Republic Aviation will be contested September 11-13 at BraeBurn Country Club in Houston. The 54-hole stroke play championship will feature six of the last 10 champions, including three-time winner Gary Durbin (2019, 2021, 2023) and defending champion Scott Tibbitts. Also returning are Near Barfield (2024), Sandy Pierce (2022), John Derrick (2020) and Mike Booker (2015). The field is limited to 144 players, with a cut to the low 54 and ties after 36 holes. Play begins Friday with morning and afternoon waves starting at 8 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. from the Nos. 1 and 10 tees.
