Rick Harrison underwent an emergency bypass surgery on Friday, Sept. 4 A rep for the Pawn Stars castmember confirms to PEOPLE that he is recovering after the surgery and has returned home He's 'doing great,' the rep said Rick Harrison is back home after undergoing an emergency surgery. The Pawn Stars alum, 61, was discharged from the hospital on Sept. 7 and is 'resting comfortably at home' and 'doing great,' his representative confirms to PEOPLE. A spokesperson for the Harrison family previously confirmed that he underwent an emergency bypass surgery after going to the hospital for what was expected to be a simpler procedure on Friday, Sept. 4. 'He went in for a simpler procedure and they found he needed a bypass,' the spokesperson said. 'He is resting comfortably and looking forward to a full recovery. He is grateful for the doctors and staff at the hospital and that his wife and family can be with him during this time.' His family and wife, Agripina 'Angie' Polushkin, whom he wed twice, first in Las Vegas, then in Cancun, earlier this year, were by his side, the spokesperson added. Rick's surgery was not the first health ordeal for the family this year. His son, Corey Harrison, missed his wedding to Polushkin in January after he was involved in a major motorcycle accident. Corey, 42, suffered '11 breaks' in his rib cage from the accident, per an Instagram post, which was also where he delivered the news to his dad. 'Sorry Pops looks like I'm missing your wedding,' he wrote. Rick later told Fox News how he felt about his son missing the Cancun nuptials, which took place three weeks after he and Polushkin said 'I do' at the Little White Chapel in Las Vegas. 'It sucks that he didn't [attend]. I wanted him to be there. He was one of my groomsmen,' Rick told the outlet. 'It was a major wreck, but fortunately, it's bones that'll heal, no internal damage or anything like that. He's just in a lot of pain.' So, I was able to drive down there and see him in the hospital, make sure everything was all right,' Rick said. Rick's rep confirmed to PEOPLE at the time that he visited Corey in the hospital the day before his wedding.
