A car crashed into traffic lights outside a pub on one of the busiest routes in and out of a town. The Kent Fire and Rescue Service (KFRS) vehicle hit the lights near The Coach House in Maidstone. The accident happened at the junction of Union Street and the A249 Sittingbourne Road shortly before 9.40am today (September 8). A photo shows the car outside The Coach House, having collided with the lights in the middle of Sittingbourne Road. The KFRS vehicle appears to have come from the Union Street direction. A fire service spokesperson confirmed one of its cars had been in a crash and that no other vehicles were involved. They added: 'No injuries were reported and one fire engine attended to assist with scene safety.'
