Monitoring Of Making Water Filtration Plant Operational Directed

BAHAWALPUR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Sep, 2026) Commissioner Irfan Ali Kathia visited water filtration plant in Hasilpur Tehsil to inspect the quality of drinking water being supplied to residents, as well as the plant's filtration system and sanitation arrangements. According to an official press release issued here, during the visit, Commissioner Irfan Ali Kathia directed the concerned authorities to ensure making water filtration plants operational besides the effective implementation of the clean drinking water programme. He emphasized maintaining high water quality standards, uninterrupted production, and the timely delivery of clean drinking water to citizens. He further instructed officials to ensure a continuous supply of safe and quality drinking water and to regularly monitor the operational efficiency and performance of all water filtration plants. The Commissioner also ordered that filtration plant filters be replaced according to the prescribed schedule and that all filtration systems undergo regular inspection. He directed the authorities to further improve cleanliness and sanitation within and around the filtration plant and instructed that the quality of filtration and hygiene standards be monitored on a daily basis. Commissioner Kathia reiterated that the provision of clean drinking water is among the Punjab government's top priorities and stated that any negligence regarding the operation, cleanliness, or water quality of filtration plants would not be tolerated.
