GWADAR , Sept 7: The Gwadar Development Authority (GDA) has completed the construction, expansion and rehabilitation of the Jan Volleyball and Futsal Ground, marking another step toward improving sports facilities and opportunities for young people in the city.
The facility has been upgraded under the GDA's Old Town Rehabilitation Project and now provides improved space for volleyball, football, futsal and other sporting activities.
The rehabilitation is part of a broader initiative to strengthen sports infrastructure in Gwadar and encourage youth to participate in healthy and constructive activities while creating better opportunities for emerging athletes to develop their skills.
Meanwhile, development and improvement work is continuing at several other sports facilities, including the Senator Muhammad Ishaq Cricket Stadium, Baba Bizenjo Football Stadium, Sorg Dil Football Ground and Gwadar Development Authority Public School Football Ground.
Work is also underway to develop the Government Model High School Ground, further expanding the city's sports infrastructure.
The ongoing projects are aimed at increasing public access to sporting facilities, encouraging greater participation among young people and providing local athletes with improved environments to pursue and enhance their sporting abilities.
