Two people have reportedly died at this year's edition of Burning Man festival in separate incidents. The first person was reported to have died on Saturday (September 5) following a 'medical emergency'. His name will not be made public until his family has been notified of his death. According to the festival, the man – described as being in his mid-50s – immediately received 'lifesaving measures, and was transported to the onsite center for emergency care where he was pronounced deceased.' Pershing County Sheriff Coroner Jerry Allen has said no apparent signs of external foul play have been detected so far. A cause of death is pending. The following day, the festival shared that a second person named Craigh Mann had died. The 60-year-old was reportedly found dead around 3pm on Saturday (September 5) and was discovered by his campmates at their campsite. No cause of death has been provided. 'Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with the participant's family, friends, and those affected by this loss,' the festival added, following both passings. Peer and crisis-support resources have been made available by the festival to those affected by their deaths. Alongside these deaths, another 30-year-old festivalgoer was reported to have fallen from the 55-foot Nest Tower at the Square One campsite. As per SFGATE, bystanders claimed the man fell from near the top of the 10-level tower and down 2 levels. He apparently hit his head, ribs and hip, landing on a metal crossbar. The man was eventually extracted from the tower and transported to the on-site hospital. This year, 34 arrests have also been made for drug sales and trafficking, with another arrest made for an incident of domestic violence. Last year, 37-year-old artist Vadim Kruglov died following a stab wound to the neck (as per the Reno Gazette Journal). It was the first homicide investigation in the history of Burning Man, and remains unsolved. Burning Man commenced on August 30 at Black Rock City in Nevada this year and was hit by heavy rains that shut down a main gate to the festival. This year, the beloved hippie festival is celebrating its 40th anniversary, having originally started on San Francisco's Baker Beach with 20 participants. The festival is expected to end today (September 7).
