Independence Day celebrations to feature fireworks, folk music

ABBOTTABAD, Aug 12 (APP):The District Administration Abbottabad, in collaboration with the Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA) Abbottabad, is organizing a special Independence Day (I Day) celebration at Shimla Hill Park on August 13 as part of the festivities marking Pakistan's 79th Independence Day. According to the organizers, the event will feature a spectacular fireworks display, traditional folk music and a range of family-oriented entertainment activities. The programme is aimed at providing citizens and families an opportunity to celebrate Independence Day in a festive and safe environment. The celebrations will begin after Isha prayers, with the main activities taking place at Shimla Hill Park, one of Abbottabad's popular recreational venues. The fireworks display is expected to be a major attraction of the evening, while folk music performances will showcase the region's cultural heritage. The district administration and TMA Abbottabad have invited citizens, families and people from surrounding areas to participate in the celebrations and mark the national occasion with patriotic spirit and enthusiasm.
