The first month of local athletics have been a rollercoaster ride for some teams and several players have made headlines in the process. This week's weekly nominations are here and eight of last week's best performers are up for athlete of the week honors. Now, fans can decide which performances were the best from local teams. The polls are now open, and will run from Tuesday, Sept. 8 to noon on Friday, Sept. 11. Want to nominate an athlete for the weekly polls? Email Zavier Gussett at zgussett@ldnews.com by noon Sunday.
