:
CM Samrat Choudhary on Tuesday said it was the govt's responsibility to resolve every citizen's grievances and ensure justice, stressing that the state-level 'Sahyog Karyakram' was playing a vital role in providing speedy relief to people.
Hearing the grievances of 137 applicants from different parts of
Bihar
at the state-level programme held at the CM Secretariat, Samrat asked officials of the departments and district administrations concerned to ensure applications were disposed of within the stipulated timeframe with complete transparency and sensitivity.
Samrat clarified that people whose grievances had already been resolved through district-level 'Sahyog Shivirs' or the state-level programme need not travel to Patna.
Only applicants facing complex issues that could not be resolved at the district level should approach the state-level programme.
Applicants raised issues related to revenue and land reforms, education, home, rural works, health, food and consumer protection and social welfare departments. Samrat directed the district magistrates and departmental officials concerned to take prompt action. Officials assured the cases would be resolved within the prescribed timeframe.
Citing the positive response to the programme, the CM said public confidence in the govt had increased due to timely disposal of grievances and officials must work to maintain that trust. He said no laxity would be tolerated in processing applications.
He also asked officials to ensure eligible beneficiaries receive govt benefits, including old-age pensions and ration cards, without delay. No eligible person should be denied benefits because of technical issues, he said.
Samrat said the govt aimed to resolve people's grievances within 30 days through the assistance camps and ensure fair, transparent and time-bound decisions.
Senior officials, including chief secretary Pratyaya Amrit, DGP
Vinay Kumar
and senior departmental secretaries, attended the programme. DMs and police officers from across the state participated through videoconferencing.
