Minden-Tahoe SkyFest is seeking volunteers to help with the event taking place Oct. 16-18 at the Minden-Tahoe Airport in Minden. "Volunteers are essential to the success of SkyFest," said Airport Director Heather MacDonnell. "This event showcases not only incredible aviation talent, but also the spirit of our community as a welcoming event. We invite residents to join us behind the scenes and help create an unforgettable experience for visitors from throughout the region." Hosted by Douglas County and the airport, volunteers are needed in a variety of positions, including guest services, parking coordination, exhibitor support, and event logistics. Community members looking to give back, meet new people, and be part of one of the region's most events are encouraged to apply through the Douglas County portal. Formerly known as the Aviation Roundup, Minden-Tahoe SkyFest features world-class aviation entertainment, military demonstrations, aerobatic performers, skydiving exhibitions, static displays, and a Friday evening airshow and drone experience. The three-day event is headlined by the Patriots Jet Team, whose pilots include veterans of the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, U.S. Navy Blue Angels, and frontline military fighter squadrons.
