He also said Sheeran's 'typical apolitical stance' had been challenged in a way it had not been before. Sheeran has a professional connection with KATSEYE, having co-written 'Animal', the group's third EP released in July. The singer previously said he became a fan of KATSEYE after hearing their 2025 single 'Gnarly' and reached out to collaborate with the group. KATSEYE members' decision to unfollow Sheeran has received mixed reactions online. Some fans have supported the move, while others have called for 'Animal' to be removed from the group's future setlists.
