Dunfanaghy ready to come alive as Jazz & Blues Festival line-up unveiled

Sponsored post The wait is almost over as the Dunfanaghy Jazz & Blues Festival returns this Thursday, 10th September, kicking off five days of live music and one of the biggest weekends of the year in the seaside village. Running from Thursday 10th to Monday 14th September 2026, this year's festival will see more than 60 gigs take place across bars, cafés and venues throughout Dunfanaghy, with thousands of music lovers expected to descend on the village. After weeks of anticipation, the full festival programme has now been released, with music running throughout the weekend. Among the names appearing this year are Gráinne Duffy, Crow Black Chicken, The Renegade Blues Band, Heads of State, We Are Ghosts, The Frank Carberry Blues Band, Now Rudeboy, The Davy K Project, Mark Black Blues Band, Indigo Joe, Blues Creek Band, Buck Taylor & Band, The Stonecold Hobos and many more. A huge amount of work goes on behind the scenes to bring the festival together, and we're delighted to finally be at the point where we can welcome everyone back to Dunfanaghy. "There is an incredible amount of live music packed into the five days, with returning favourites as well as some brilliant new acts joining us this year. "The support we receive from the local venues, businesses, sponsors, volunteers, musicians and everyone who travels to Dunfanaghy for the festival is what makes the weekend possible, and we're looking forward to seeing the village buzzing again.' With gigs taking place throughout the village, visitors can expect everything from blues and jazz to rock, soul, folk and traditional sessions, with music running from daytime right through into the night. The vast majority of performances are completely free to attend, allowing festival-goers to move from venue to venue and experience the atmosphere that has made Dunfanaghy Jazz & Blues one of Donegal's most popular annual music events. And while the music may be the main attraction, the festival weekend is also a major celebration of Dunfanaghy itself, with the village's pubs, restaurants, cafés, shops and accommodation providers preparing for one of their busiest weekends of the year. The Festival Committee added: 'Whether you've been coming to Jazz & Blues for years or this will be your first time, just come along, grab a programme and enjoy it.
