Election awareness session held for persons with disabilities

MOHMAND - An election awareness session for persons with disabilities was held at the office of District Election Commissioner Shahid Ali here on Monday, where participants were briefed on the procedure for obtaining and casting votes through postal ballots. The session was organised in pursuance of the directives of the Provincial Election Commissioner, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with the objective of facilitating the participation of persons with disabilities in the electoral process. Election officials explained the postal ballot procedure and responded to participants' queries during a question-and-answer session. Form-21 was also distributed to facilitate voter registration and the transfer of votes. KP minister welcomes dismissal of contempt petitions by ATC Appreciation certificates were presented to the participants at the conclusion of the session. The participants welcomed the initiative and called for regular awareness programmes to improve their access to electoral services and enable them to exercise their right to vote effectively.
