Enjoying a sunny and warm day before rain returns on Wednesday

ELMIRA, N.Y. (WETM)- We have another day of warm and comfortable conditions before a front brings rain showers later in the day on Wednesday. High temperatures on Tuesday will be around 79 degrees, and it warms up more on Wednesday with rain past the afternoon. By Wednesday, rain and a few thunderstorms are expected to pass parts of the region, a few of which could be gusty. There is now a marginal (1 out of 5) risk of severe storms on Wednesday, with the main threat being damaging wind gusts. This upcoming weekend will be sunny and warm in the upper 70s.
