ISLAMABAD – Some relief for Pakistanis as government passed on another price cut, bringing petrol below Rs370 per litre amid declining international crude oil rates. Under the latest announced adjustment, petrol prices have been reduced by Rs5.45 per litre to Rs369.06, while high-speed diesel (HSD) has reportedly been cut by Rs3.68 to Rs395.20 per litre. The revised rates are scheduled to take effect from November 4, 2026. The latest development follows an earlier reduction announced on Monday, when petrol prices were lowered by Rs3.40 per litre to Rs374.51, while diesel became cheaper by Rs7.76 to Rs395.20 per litre. International crude oil prices have witnessed a significant decline amid renewed hopes of diplomatic progress between the United States and Iran, raising expectations that geopolitical tensions and potential supply disruptions could ease. Brent crude was trading at approximately $103.14 per barrel, while US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) stood at around $95.79 per barrel. Pakistan Petrol Price Trends in 2026 Petrol prices in Pakistan have experienced considerable fluctuations throughout 2026, with motorists facing several major increases and reductions. At the beginning of the year, petrol was priced around Rs263 per litre before declining to approximately Rs253 in February. By early November, petrol had declined to Rs374.51 per litre before the latest announced adjustment. Month Petrol price January 253.17 February 258.17 March 321.17 April 393.35 May 381.78 June 299.50 July 335.06 August 342.02 September 387.54 October 377.91 November 374.51 The latest developments in international oil markets could influence Pakistan's upcoming petroleum price adjustments, although domestic fuel rates also depend on exchange-rate movements, taxes, petroleum levies and other government-imposed charges.
