Turkish Social Services Minister Goktas Visits Skopje

Parliament Speaker Afrim Gashi met with Turkiye's Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Ozdemir Goktas to discuss family values, social policy and services for families and vulnerable groups. Gashi said North Macedonia was ready to exchange experiences and best practices with Turkey, particularly on accessible, quality community-based social services. Goktas highlighted the countries' longstanding friendship and ties and said Turkey had declared the next decade the Decade of Family and Population. While in Skopje, Turkish Minister Goktas also signed a Memorandum of Cooperation between the respective ministries of both countries, along with North Macedonia's Minister of Social Policy, Gjoko Velkovski .
