'We're going all out': Levante captain Brugue confident ahead of Barcelona clash

Levante captain Roger Brugue has promised Barcelona will face a fearless home side when the two teams meet in La Liga on Sunday. Barcelona have made a perfect start to their title defence, winning all four of their opening league matches and moving to the top of the table after their emphatic 5-0 victory over Valencia at Mestalla. Hansi Flick's side will first turn their attention to the Champions League and their meeting with Feyenoord before travelling to face Levante. Brugue, however, believes his side can make life difficult for the reigning champions, particularly with home advantage behind them. 'Barça are a great opponent and they're in a good moment, but we also know that we're strong at home,' Brugue told Levante's official media, as quoted by Mundo Deportivo. 'We've won six in a row at home and we're going in without fear, without complexes and going all out.' 'We're going to work, put together a good game plan and, why not?' he added. Brugue also believes Levante's collective strength will be crucial after a summer of significant changes to the squad. Rather than relying on individual stars, the captain wants the team to develop a strong collective identity and ensure every player contributes. 'We don't have superstars. We have to all pull in the same direction and be a unit,' he said. 'Unity, running more than anyone else and giving everything' must form the foundation of the team's mentality, particularly against opponents with Barcelona's quality. Levante currently sit 12th in La Liga with five points from their opening four matches, having recorded one win, two draws and one defeat. Their most recent league game ended goalless against newly promoted Malaga. Barcelona, meanwhile, arrive with a perfect record and will be looking to maintain their momentum after their five-goal demolition of Valencia.
