South Carolina softball hosted seven priority class of 2028 recruiting targets on campus this weekend and is already seeing it pay dividends.
Atlanta (Ga.) Wesleyan School four-star catcher Siena Myers became the first public commitment in the Gamecocks 2028 class on Sunday when she announced her pledge on social media.
Myers is ranked the No. 104 overall prospect and No. 14 catcher in the class, according to Softball America/On3.

'Myers is part of a very talented and powerful catching class,' Softball America's Brady Vernon said. 'Myers, a Georgia native, has a strong base and balance in her swing, can get on plane quickly, and understands timing in her approach. She can drive the ball to the opposite field with power, consistently delivering her barrel to the inside of the ball.'
Myers is one of two public commitments to Ashley Chastain Woodard and the Gamecocks on Sunday as Athens (Ga.) IMG Academy four-star OF Trinity Onigbanjo also committed to the program mere hours later.
South Carolina also added a third commitment, but she has not yet made her pledge public as of this writing.
The recruiting visit window for the class of 2028 opened on Sept. 1, so this is a busy time for that class in the softball world. Stay locked on GamecockCentral for more softball news.
