The Government of Israel announced on Tuesday a series of measures against the United Kingdom in response to the decisions made by London regarding trade with Israeli settlements in Judea and Samaria. Among the main actions is the closure of the British consulate in Jerusalem and the imposition of sanctions on twelve British politicians, including former Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn. The Israeli Foreign Minister, Gideon Saar, communicated the measures and defended the decision to respond to the hostile actions by the British Government. The Israeli Chancellor, Gideon Saar As he explained, Israel also decided to expel the United Kingdom from the Civil-Military Coordination Center (CMCC), a multinational body responsible for overseeing the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip following the agreement reached in October 2025. During a press conference, Saar also announced the entry ban to Israel for twelve British politicians and "others" citizens, whom he accused of participating in "antisemitic and anti-Israeli activities, as well as those who deny the existence of the State of Israel".
