What began as a children's podcast is growing into a larger community. Girls are finding friendship, discovering themselves, and creating lasting memories. Egli Studios launched Besties, a new community initiative. This initiative goes beyond digital content. The inaugural Besties Summer Camp took place in September. From September 2-4, twelve girls attended the camp. This included the four original hosts of Best Girlfriends. They participated in an immersive 60-hour residential experience focused on entertainment and meaningful learning. The camp marks a significant milestone for Egli Studios. It shows the company is expanding from podcasts and TV into live experiences and community building. "When we started Best Girlfriends, we aimed to create more than a podcast," said Aggor Yorm, Founder of Egli Studios and Camp Director. "We wanted girls to feel seen and heard." The three-day camp began with a welcome party. DJ Galdem provided music while games, food, karaoke, and bonding sessions helped the girls connect. The itinerary balanced creativity with skill-building activities. Girls engaged in pottery workshops using clay and attended a fashion masterclass with designer Kofi Akotua. They also competed in cooking challenges like an Indomie cook-off under pressure. Fitness sessions, outdoor games, and team competitions added movement to the experience. Organizers ensured that substance accompanied the fun. A notable moment featured Lady, a former Miss Malaika Ghana winner. She led an age-appropriate discussion on menstrual hygiene, covering topics often overlooked in education. "Besties isn't just about entertainment," Yorm explained. "It's about creating space for girls to learn about themselves." This philosophy influenced every aspect of the camp's design. Activities were carefully chosen along with facilitators who aligned with this vision. Professional cameras captured every moment during the 60-hour experience. The girls had access to a diary room for private reflections and sharing perspectives. This footage is now in post-production for a Besties reality television experience set to air soon. The reality format enhances Egli Studios' content strategy by making the camp experience shareable for wider audiences. The ambition behind Besties extends beyond this first camp. Egli Studios envisions an ecosystem combining content, events, workshops, mentorship opportunities, and community engagement. "The first camp was just the beginning," Yorm stated. "Besties will be where girls can find their people." Future camps will expand in scope and reach more girls across different regions. There are plans for year-round programming beyond summer experiences. Best Girlfriends started as a podcast featuring young female hosts discussing various topics like friendship and personal development. It has since grown into a multi-platform phenomenon across television and social media channels. The transition to Besties reflects Egli Studios' understanding of modern audience needs for authentic connections beyond digital content. "Best Girlfriends started the conversation; Besties is building the community," Yorm noted after 60 hours together at one house. Egli Studios confirmed that the Besties reality television program will debut soon on its YouTube channel. Comments:
