Victim leaving for work sees co-worker in garage: Police

A victim in Pennsylvania was about to leave their home for work when they found their co-worker in their garage — a man who authorities say had been stalking and threatening the victim. Taylor Foster, 33, stands charged with two counts of criminal trespassing by entering a structure, indecent assault, stalking, and harassment, according to court records reviewed by Law&Crime. He has been lodged in the Westmoreland County Prison, unable to post $2,500 bail. The case was issued against Foster on Aug. 24. Authorities have not said exactly when the incidents that led to the charges occurred. Law&Crime has reached out to the Latrobe Police Department for specifics. In April, Foster began sending Facebook messages to a co-worker of his, the Westmoreland County Sheriff's Office said. The agency did not state the sex, age or workplace of the victim. "The messages are of an extremely sexually graphic, violent and threatening nature," the Westmoreland County Sheriff's Office added. "They also include descriptions of Foster describing entering the victim[']s house and almost getting caught before sneaking out." The victim alleged that Foster "inappropriately" grabbed them on two occasions, and then weeks later, "the victim was leaving for work when they found Foster standing in their garage." The defendant "is then accused of backing the victim into a wall, then he left through a side door." Two days after this incident, the victim said "Foster was again at their residence when they were leaving for work." They were reportedly able to close their door before Foster could get inside. They claim that in the messages to the victim, he also described his "intentions of going to the victim[']s home to rape them." The Latrobe Police Department filed the criminal complaint in the case. "After charges were filed, our Fugitive Unit began their investigation to locate Foster," the sheriff's office said. "He was ultimately found at the Red Roof Inn" in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, and was detained. Court records show Foster had a preliminary arraignment on Aug. 31. He is scheduled to return to court for a preliminary hearing on Sept. 14. Latrobe, Pennsylvania, is a borough about 40 miles east of Pittsburgh.
