The City of Sisters invites the community to a Ribbon Cutting Celebration for the new off-leash dog park located at Sisters Gateway Park and Mobility Hub on Friday, September 11, at 11 a.m. The event will take place at the new park, located at 875 W. Sisters Park Dr.
The 1/4-acre off-leash dog park includes a seasonal drinking fountain with built-in dog dish, picnic tables, waste bag dispenser and receptacle, and is designed to offer a contained location for dogs to enjoy being off leash. Future amenities including bulletin board and stick library are anticipated.
The ribbon cutting ceremony will feature remarks from the Mayor, City Councilors, and project members followed by a tour of the new facility.
'A public off-leash dog park has long been an amenity requested by community members. Thanks to the work of City staff, Council, and the Parks Advisory Board, I'm excited we could create a dog park at this central location. I look forward to many years of safe enjoyment by residents, visitors, and their canine companions.' said Mayor Jennifer Letz.
The public is encouraged to attend and celebrate this new amenity for the Sisters community.
