Significant MoM cut in RLNG prices

By ISLAMABAD: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has announced a significant month-on-month cut in Regasified Liquefied Natural Gas (RLNG) prices, effective September 1, 2026, with the new rates based on two single LNG cargo imported by Pakistan State Oil (PSO). The downward revision comes amid the persistent severe gas load-shedding, disrupting supply nationwide, with rates falling between USD3.49 and USD3.91 per MMBtu across transmission and distribution networks compared to August 2026. For the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) network, the transmission price has been set at USD13.9927 per MMBtu and the distribution price at USD15.1963 per MMBtu. On the Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGCL) network, transmission stands at USD12.6112 per MMBtu and distribution at USD14.2233 per MMBtu. READ MORE: Ogra announces cut in RLNG prices Compared to August, SNGPL's transmission price fell by USD3.4952 per MMBtu, or 19.99 percent, while its distribution price dropped by USD3.8313 per MMBtu, or 20.14 percent.
