The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time Remake On Switch 2 Pre-Order Guide

Nintendo has revealed more of its The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake - a lot more. Aside from revealing the name of the upcoming Zelda movie and announcing an upcoming series of Zelda concerts, almost all of the Direct was dedicated to the Ocarina remake. We now know how it's going to look, when it will be here, and a lot of flashy merch that will be released along with it was also revealed. It was confirmed that Nintendo really is the only studio not afraid to go up against Rockstar and GTA 6. Well, kind of. The Ocarina of Time remake will be released on November 5, 2026. I've got a sneaking suspicion that it would have launched later than that had it not been for GTA 6's arrival on November 19. We'll never know that for sure, because Nintendo would never admit such a thing. The remake will be a Switch 2 exclusive, with no version for the original Switch. You do have a choice to make before you place your pre-orders, though. Both a digital version and a physical version will be released. Nintendo confirmed plans to charge more for physical copies of its first-party games earlier this year, and that disparity will apply to the Ocarina remake. Pre-orders are available now through the online Nintendo store. The digital edition costs $59.99, which means it's going to cost you $69.99 if you want a physical copy. There is no pre-order bonus, nor other more expensive editions that come with statues or early access. Nintendo doesn't tend to do that sort of thing. Third-party retailers may have pre-order bonuses closer to release, although they might only be available in select regions. We're Getting A Lot Of Ocarina Merch As well as showing off a ton of gameplay from the remake, the Direct revealed a boatload of Ocarina merchandise. None of it is available to buy or pre-order yet, but some early details have been revealed. For example, the headliner, a Zelda-themed Switch 2 console, will be released on October 29, 2026, just in time for the remake, along with a matching Pro Controller. The prices of the console and controller haven't been revealed, and the former doesn't include a copy of Ocarina of Time. The remake is also getting two amiibo - one for Link, and one for Zelda. Tapping them to your controller while playing the Ocarina remake will unlock N64 heads for the respective characters. While not an amiibo, a real-life Ocarina was also shown off. The remake lets you hum the tunes rather than tap them in like the original, and if you want the most immersive experience possible, there will be an official Ocarina you can play. Last but not least, we got a very brief look at the next Zelda Lego set. The third so far, and all three have featured elements from Ocarina of Time. The next set will feature Link riding his horse, Epona. Price, piece count, and a release date were not revealed, but pre-orders will likely open on the Lego website soon.
