The incident took place on August 14 within the jurisdiction of Docks police station, where a woman identified as Zarmeen was killed in a shooting at her home. Initially, the victim's husband claimed that the shooting had occurred accidentally while he was cleaning the firearm. However, preliminary police investigations reportedly uncovered evidence suggesting the husband's involvement in the killing. Police subsequently arrested him and recovered a .30-bore pistol allegedly used in the crime. The suspect, identified as Shaukat Ali, was booked under Section 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code. The recovered weapon was also found to be unlicensed, according to police. A separate case was registered against the suspect under Section 23(I)(A) of the Sindh Arms Act. The arrested suspect was handed over to the investigation unit for further questioning and investigation.
