Maersk, one of the world's largest freight carriers, is ending its partnership with the terminal in Boryspil, Kyiv Oblast. This was reported by the press service of 'Maersk Ukraine.' The company noted that the decision is due to operational reasons. The terminal in question is operated by BIT VANTAGE LLC. Maersk asks customers whose import shipments have not yet arrived at the terminal, are in transit, or are only scheduled for shipment to contact representatives of the intermodal department. The company promises to provide customers with further instructions regarding such shipments. This comes amid the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, which is hampering global trade, according to CNBC. Maersk, an international container shipping operator, is temporarily launching a rail service between Ukrainian terminals and the Romanian port of Constanta.
