Volleyball Recap: Thunder Basin Escapes with a Win

Thunder Basin picked up another tournament win on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Buffalo Bison, sneaking past 2-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bolts. Thunder Basin was led to victory by Natilee Lillard and Ellie Hastreiter. Lillard had 12 kills, 12 digs, and four aces, while Hastreiter had 34 assists and seven digs. Kaidyn Schiller was another key player, getting seven kills, six digs, and two aces. Buffalo's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Avery Paulson, who had five kills and three solo blocks. Thunder Basin's record currently sits at 5-1. As for Buffalo, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 11 matches, dating back to last year. That leaves them at a 2-4 record this season. Thunder Basin has already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Rapid City Christian on the 4th. As for Buffalo, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Wheatland on the 4th.
