Food Safety Team Fines Outlets Over Expired Food Items

Dera Ismail Khan, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Sep, 2026) The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Food Safety and Halal Food Authority teams conducted inspections of various food outlets in Sheikh Yousaf and Rangpur Adda areas and recovered expired food items during the inspection. The team imposed fines on the violators and disposed of the expired items in accordance with the relevant food safety regulations. The shopkeepers were also directed to maintain proper hygiene and ensure that only safe and quality food items were offered for sale. Officials said regular inspections would continue across the district to check compliance with food safety laws and prevent the sale of expired and substandard food items. They urged food business operators to strictly follow prescribed hygiene standards to protect public health.
