Montreal Canadiens sophomore Ivan Demidov has signed a new contract and, like his teammates, left some money on the table, but that wasn't on his agent. View More Video Transcript Your folks. Ryan, you start us off. Yay or nay, Ivan Demidov has signed an eight-year extension worth 9.125 million to stay in Montreal with this great, young, and up-and-coming core. Yay or nay on that signing? Big yay. Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton once again doing big things in Montreal. How about you, Mike? A big yay as well. I mean, the, the Montreal Canadiens are mimicking the Boston Bruins of a decade or so ago, getting their core group, like Marchand and Bergeron, all locked up on very reasonable contracts, and that will allow, Jeff Gorton and Kent Hughes to go out and get help a- and have the cap room to do that. Yeah, I believe, Demidov signed a little bit more than Co- than Lane Hutson. So you get, you know, Hutson and Demidov both under 10 million. That, that's a win for me as well. Close
