Pivetta makes his return for Monday's series opener as had been reported. Jhony Brito was optioned as the corresponding move.
To make room for Nick Pivetta, the Padres option Jhony Brito to Triple-A and DFA catcher Blake Hunt. Hunt was the move to make room on 40-man roster, as Pivetta was activated from the 60-day IL.
