ESS 2026 Is Back This September, and It's Going Bigger Than Ever

Gamers, September is looking busy. Esports Summit (ESS) is officially returning for its sixth edition, and after bringing in more than 10,000 attendees in 2025, the event is levelling things up for 2026 with a target of around 15,000 visitors. But bigger crowds aren't the only thing changing. This year's ESS is putting participation front and centre, with more ways to compete, play, win prizes, meet other gamers, and actually become part of the experience rather than spending the day watching from the sidelines. ESS Is Levelling Up for Its Sixth Edition Since launching in 2018, ESS has grown into one of Egypt's biggest gatherings for gaming and esports, bringing the community together around competition, entertainment, and everything in between. For its sixth edition, ESS is being held in partnership with the Egyptian Esports Federation, connecting the summit with the wider ecosystem shaping gaming and esports in Egypt while ensuring the event operates in line with the country's laws and regulations governing the sector. And with last year's edition crossing the 10,000-attendee mark, ESS 2026 is aiming even higher. Meet the Gen Gamers Arena One of the biggest additions this year is the new Gen Gamers Arena, and you definitely don't need to be a pro to get involved. The arena is designed to bring together gamers across different ages, generations, and skill levels, with a variety of games and gaming platforms to explore. Competitive players can put their skills to the test, while more casual gamers can jump in too, opening up the competition to pretty much anyone who wants a taste of the esports atmosphere. In other words, ESS isn't keeping the action exclusively on stage. This year, visitors get to play too. EGP 1.5 Million in Prizes and Giveaways Is Up for Grabs And yes, there's something to play for. FWZ, the organiser behind ESS and owner of the event's IP, has increased the total value of prizes and giveaways for 2026 to EGP 1.5 million. Throughout the Gen Gamers Arena, visitors will be able to take part in games and activities, earn points through gameplay, and redeem those points for different prizes and giveaways. Content Creators, This One's for You Too Gamers aren't the only community getting more space at ESS this year.
