‘None will be spared': Dilip Ghosh warns party workers not to get involved in corruption

Bengal Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Dilip Ghosh visited Arambagh in the state's Hooghly district on Monday evening to conduct a party organisational meeting with BJP workers, leaders and MLAs at the BJP's party office in Dolatpur, Arambagh. The agenda of the meeting was to warn the party workers against any involvement in any kind of corruption, to ensure transparent Panchayat governance and to make beneficiary schemes available to all, including those deprived for long under the alleged misrule of the previous TMC government. Advertisement Ghosh also intends to start a week-long training period for BJP party leaders and workers towards launching a month-long nationwide campaign called Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, starting September 17, 2026, to celebrate Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday and mark 25 years of his public service in constitutional office. Advertisement The Panchayat Minister issued strict directives to the party workers not to get involved in any kind of cut-money culture and corruption. 'A special audit is being carried out in the panchayats. Those involved with the Panchayat administration for the last three years are also under the scanner. None will be spared. The wrongdoers will be sent behind bars. We want transparent governance. The eligible beneficiaries will be included under the Awas Yojana scheme and 125 days' work guarantee scheme. Equal stress will be laid on agricultural, educational and medical services,' Ghosh said. 'To commemorate the birth anniversary of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and 25 years of his public service in constitutional office, the 'Anandadhara' lamp will be lit at every district, extending to the mandal and booth level,' he added.
