Asim Azhar is planning a tour of Pakistan as part of his upcoming Asim Ali tour and he's going to be joined by a very special opening act. During a visit to the Surtaal Music Academy in Lahore, Azhar in an Instagram post on Tuesday announced — while surrounded by the talented young musicians enrolled there — that they will be performing their first public concert by opening for him on tour. The singer sang with the kids too, performing renditions of his songs 'Khabbay Sajjay' and 'Jo Tu Na Mila', with one of the young performers playing the harmonium as accompaniment. Earlier, the students had extended an invitation to Azhar to visit their academy through a reel in which they performed 'Meri Zindagi Hai Tu' — his popular OST from the drama of the same name. The singer is just one of a number of high-profile guests who have visited Surtaal in the last few days. Amar Khan stopped by around the same time as Azhar and got to sing some Punjabi songs with the kids, including the classic ' Ajj Kala Jora Pa ', which she sang on the show Mitti De Baway . Natasha Baig has also spent some time at Surtaal, singing along to qawwali from the legendary Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. Norway's William Gamborg visited too, and subsequently went viral for jamming along as the kids performed Hamza Malik and Zain Zohaib's uber-popular song ' Alfaaz ' The Asim Ali tour has stops scheduled in Faisalabad, Lahore and Islamabad on November 6, 7 and 8 before Azhar flies to the US to begin a series of shows abroad. He'll be back in Pakistan in time for Christmas, when he has a show in Karachi.
