Wide receiver Iveon Lewis got his senior season off to a strong start Friday.
Lewis, the South Carolina commit, caught four passes for 183 yards, two touchdowns in helping Huguenot (Va.) High School to a 28-3 win over Highland Springs in the season opening game that was delayed more than 90 minutes because of weather.
Defensively, Gamecocks commit and Hough (NC) defensive back Davion Jones picked off two passes, had three pass break-ups, a forced fumble and two sacks in the 30-3 win over Providence Day (NC).
Here is a look at how some other South Carolina commitments fared this week in their high school games:
Josh Dobson, DB, Hough (NC): Dobson had multiple pass break-ups in the win over Providence Day.
Brooks Dow, QB/TE, Pickens: The future Gamecock tight end was 10-of-18 passing for 163 yards, had 27 yards rushing and three total touchdowns in the win over Liberty. He has 13 total touchdowns in his first three games.
DJ Huggins, WR, Harrison (Ga.): Huggins had three receptions for 43 yards and 20 yards rushing in a 12-9 win over North Paulding.
Davion Jones, DB, Hough (NC): In a high profile matchup against Providence Day, Jones picked off two passes, had three pass break-ups, a forced fumble and two sacks in the 30-3 win.
Judah Lancaster, TE, Brentwood Academy (Tenn.): Lancaster had an 18-yard touchdown reception in a 28-23 loss to St. Joseph's Prep (Pa.)

Jerry Meyer III, QB, Waxahachie (Texas): Meyer was 13 of 21 passing for 137 yards and two interceptions in the 27-24 win over Ennis. In two games this season, he is 30 of 44 for 537 yards, six touchdowns and two interceptions.
Javien Robinson, WR, McKeesport (Pa.): Robinson had two catches for 50 yards in the 28-17 loss to Montour.
Jackson Ross, LB, Hammond: Ross had 6 tackles (2 for loss), a pass break-up and quarterback pressure in a win over Laurence Manning.
Brayden Tyson, RB, Brookwood (Ga.): Tyson carried it 14 times for 122 yards and two touchdowns in the 55-20 win over South Gwinnett. In three games this season, he has 332 yards rushing and seven touchdowns.
Jhmari Cain, WR, Huguenot (Va.): In his season opener, Cain caught two passes for 42 yards in the win over Highland Springs.
Joseph Gibbs, Southeast Alamance (NC): Gibbs caught five passes for 101 yards and a TD in the 42-7 win over Southeast Guilford. In three games this year, he has 12 catches for 283 yards and five touchdowns.
