After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Teays Valley, Lancaster was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Groveport-Madison Cruisers. The contest marked the Golden Gales' most dominant win of the season so far.
The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-11, 25-21.
Lancaster found their leader in sophomore Bella McKnight, who had 25 assists, seven digs, five aces, and three solo blocks. Another player making a difference was Emily Marshall, who had seven kills, two aces, and a solo block.
Lancaster has now won six of their last eight games at home. That gives them a 4-2 record this season. As for Groveport-Madison, they have now lost 13 of their last 14 games on the road. That gives them a 4-3 record this season.
We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Lancaster will square off against their in-conference opponent Pickerington Central at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Groveport-Madison is set to take on their familiar foe Teays Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
