Saturday, September 19: Backyard Beekeeping Workshop at The Learning Garden

Join us as we learn all the basics of backyard beekeeping, including how to get started, the rules and regulations in Los Angeles, the benefits of honeybees in our environment, diagnosing diseases and how to harvest honey! TheBackyard Beekeeping Workshopwill be presented by senior high school student,Oliver. Oliver has been backyard beekeeping for 6 years. He has one hive, and also assists with hives on the roofs of Michelin-star restaurants such as Providence and Melisse. He is completing his Journeyman certificate with the California Master Beekeeping Program through UC Davis and working towards his Master certification.
