There's bad news for Marvel fans hoping for Venom's cameo in Avengers: Doomsday. The anticipated MCU movie comes out later this year, with a massive cast led by Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, and more. According to industry insider Daniel Richtman, Venom won't show up in Doomsday. Some fans wanted to see Topher Grace's return as Eddie Brock/Venom from Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man trilogy. The actor played the Symbiote in 2007's Spider-Man 3. During an interaction with a fan on X, the scooper wrote 'No' when asked if Grace will have a cameo appearance in the upcoming movie. While the scooper has a reliable track record, fans should still take his claim with a grain of salt. Venom's MCU debut has been highly awaited. Ever since Tom Hardy's Eddie Brock appeared in Spider-Man: No Way Home's post-credits scene, many Marvel fans have been hoping to see him alongside Tom Holland's Peter Parker. However, there's been no update on Hardy's future in the MCU. Marvel has neither denied nor confirmed his appearance in any upcoming project. Other villainous characters from Maguire's universe, such as Doctor Octopus and Green Goblin, have already appeared in the MCU. Hence, fans assumed that Grace would also show up in Doomsday in some capacity. Recently, other Doomsday rumors have also surfaced, with one claiming that Maguire's Spider-Man, Green Goblin, and Doctor Octopus would fight against Wolverine, Deadpool, and Magneto during an Incursion event in the opening scene. Then, there was a rumor claiming that Doomsday's post-credits scene may see Hugh Jackman's Wolverine and Maguire's Spider-Man on Battleworld. But again, these are unverified reports, and one should take these claims with caution. Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Avengers: Doomsday hits theaters on December 18, 2026.
