Tyson Fury claims Anthony Joshua fight off, challenges Oleksandr Usyk

Tyson Fury claimed Anthony Joshua is backing out of their planned heavyweight fight in November and called for another rematch with Oleksandr Usyk. Fury (36-2-1, 25 KOs) and Joshua (30-4, 27 KOs) have signed individual contracts with Saudi Arabian promoter Sela for a highly anticipated all-British fight on Nov. 20. The bout has yet to be finalized. Joshua's promoter Eddie Hearn said that Joshua's contract stipulates the fight must take place in the United Kingdom. Organizers are pushing for it to take place at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Fury, 38, took to Instagram to claim Joshua is backing out of the fight and say he's looking for a new opponent. Usyk (25-0, 16 KOs) has already beaten Fury twice, with both fights taking place in 2024. "This will only lead me to a fight with Oleksandr Usyk," Fury said on Instagram on Sunday night. "Oleksandr, you're his (Joshua's) trainer and his sensei, and you know he is a weak-minded piece of s-- and that he would never fight the Gypsy King, which you have had the guts to do twice. "You got the decisions last time, fair play to you. Good luck to you, let's do it again. Let's run it back in November. The ball is now in your court... do you want to fight me this year, 2026, or are you calling quits? "Let me know because I am now looking for a new opponent." Sela and Netflix prefer a Fury-Joshua fight to take place at Madison Square Garden, according to BBC Sport. Joshua was knocked down twice before knocking out Kristian Prenga in July, one day after Fury stopped Mariusz Wach in seven rounds.
