CBI takes two Buxar postal staff into custody

Buxar : A CBI team on Tuesday took Buxar postal superintendent Sarita Kumari and another employee into custody for questioning, triggering a stir at the head post office and within the postal department. The two were subsequently taken to Circuit House, where CBI officials questioned them in connection with a matter believed to be related to the postal division. Assistant postal superintendent Pushpendra Kumar confirmed that the two employees were taken into custody for questioning by the central investigation agency. Kumar said the CBI team had also summoned him to the Circuit House along with relevant files and documents. However, he said he did not have detailed information about the case or the allegations that prompted the agency's action. The exact nature of the complaint, the allegations involved and whether the CBI has registered a case in connection with the matter have not yet been officially disclosed. Officials said further details are expected once the CBI completes its questioning and examination of the relevant documents. The agency is yet to issue an official statement on the action taken in Buxar.
