Vernon, BC: The Vernon Vipers have traded 2007-born defenceman Liam Magnuson to the Cranbrook Bucks in exchange for a Player Development Fee. Magnuson appeared in 33 games with the Vipers last season, recording 11 points. Vipers Head Coach and General Manager Matt Cooke thanked Magnuson for his time with the organization. 'Trades like this are never easy to make,' said Cooke. 'We'd like to thank Liam for everything he contributed to our team and organization during his time in Vernon. He was a valued member of our group, and we wish him nothing but the best moving forward.' The Vipers open their 2026 preseason schedule this afternoon at 2:00 p.m. against the West Kelowna Warriors.
