North West, the eldest child of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, headlined her first solo concert in Chicago this past weekend.
The precocious 13-year-old took to the stage to perform tracks from her EP N0rth4evr – a genre-blending project that mixes rage rap, emo, hyperpop and alternative metal – accompanied by two backup dancers.
Her famous parents were both in the audience at The Vic Theatre to cheer North on, although the exes kept their distance from each other.
North, who has multiple piercings, long blue hair and regularly wears diamond-encrusted shark grillz, has shown musical aspirations from a young age.
She started at just six with an appearance rapping during West's Yeezy fashion show in Paris, and more recently performed I Just Can't Wait to Be King live at the Hollywood Bowl in May 2024.
But with fans already expressing concern for North, are Kardashian and West right to push their barely teen daughter to build a career?
