７日午前７時４５分ごろ、福島県いわき市鹿島町米田のアンダーパスで「車が水没している」と通行人から１１９番があった。地元消防によると、車２台が水没し、うち１台から６０代女性が心肺停止の状態で見つかり、搬送先の病院で死亡が確認された。もう１台の運転手は自力で車内から脱出し、けがはなかった。
