The Civil Guard rescued the lifeless body of a 48-year-old man on Monday, found earlier that morning in the reservoir of Tórtoles de Esgueva, in the Burgos region of Ribera del Duero. According to official sources, the body was discovered around 10 a.m. by Civil Guard officers. Earlier, they were informed about the disappearance of a resident from Valladolid, whose family reported he hadn't returned after a weekend fishing trip. Following the report, several patrols from Lerma, Torresandino, and Aranda de Duero were deployed in the area, finding the body around 10 a.m. Specialised divers from the Underwater Activities Special Group were immediately mobilised to extract the body and transfer it to the forensic unit, supported by various patrol units to secure the area during the operation. The body was finally retrieved around 2 p.m. Although investigations continue, official sources suggest it is likely the man whose disappearance was reported in Valladolid.
