How to watch the Dallas Stars in 2026-27

The app Dallas Stars fans used last season no longer exists. Victory+ ceased operations on 31 August 2026, and on 2 September the Stars announced that Prime Video is the new home for their local broadcasts. There is no separate Stars subscription to buy: the games come with an Amazon Prime membership at no extra cost. Seventeen games also air free over the air on FOX 4 and FOX 4 Plus. What happened to Victory+? It shut down. Victory+ ceased operations at the end of August 2026 after losing rights partners through the summer, and the Stars — who helped launch the service and held equity in it — left before it closed. Club president Brad Alberts has said publicly that Dallas did not receive most of what it was owed over the past year. Nothing you did with that app carries over. Where can I watch Stars games now? Prime Video, which took exclusive in-market streaming rights on 2 September 2026, plus free over-the-air broadcasts on FOX 4 and FOX 4 Plus. That is the whole distribution: there is no regional sports network carrying the Stars this season, so there is no cable channel to find. What does it cost? Nothing beyond an Amazon Prime membership, which is $14.99 a month or $139 a year. Unlike the four other clubs that joined Prime Video on the same day, the Stars have no separate club subscription — Dallas and Anaheim are bundled in, and Columbus, Carolina, Minnesota and St. Louis charge $99.99 a year on top. If you already have Prime, your Stars answer is now free. Which games are free over the air? Seventeen: nine on FOX 4, which is KDFW, and eight on FOX 4 Plus, which is KDFI. FOX 4 Plus is on 27.1 or 4.2 over the air, channel 7 on Spectrum and Frontier, and channel 27 on DIRECTV and DISH. The first free game is Thursday 22 October against Winnipeg. FOX 4 is the only local television channel showing Stars games at no cost. Am I in-market? The Stars territory covers Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and Arkansas. Inside it, Prime Video carries the local broadcasts; outside it you need NHL Center Ice or NHL Power Play through the ESPN app. Who calls the games? Unchanged through all of this. Friday 2 October, at home to St. Louis, on TNT. It is a national game, so the season starts off Prime Video rather than on it.
