LUH Hyderabad's Modular Surgical Ward Nears Completion

HYDERABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 8th Nov, 2026) The modular surgical ward being established at Liaquat University Hospital (LUH) in Hyderabad is in the final stages of completion, to bring the surgical facilities at the hospital up to par with those of developed world. The LUH's spokesman informed here on Sunday that the initiative was part of the measures taken to upgrade the health infrastructure in the public sector hospitals in the province. Quoting Medical Superintendent Dr Irshad Hussain Kazmi, the spokesman said the hospital was ensuring that the patients received good healthcare services at the city's largest tertiary hospital. He said the establishment of the modular surgical ward would prove to be another milestone in the hospital's advancement. The spokesman added that the new ward would also reduce the operation theater-acquired infections in addition to offering improved surgical procedures. He reiterated that the LUH was providing quality health services for which private hospitals charged hundreds of thousands of rupees from patients for free.
