National Food Security and Research Division says blended supply arrangement follows PASSCO board recommendation to ensure timely disposal of imported wheat stocks The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the Cabinet on Monday approved the provision of PASSCO's wheat stocks to all recipient agencies in a ratio of 85% local wheat and 15% imported wheat to facilitate the timely disposal of imported stocks. The decision was taken at a meeting of the ECC held at the Finance Division under the chairmanship of Minister for Finance and Revenue Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb. The forum considered nine agenda items relating to various ministries and divisions. The proposal was submitted by the National Food Security and Research Division and was based on a recommendation of the Board of Directors of PASSCO. The ECC approved the proposed ratio of 85% local and 15% imported wheat for supplies to all recipient agencies, with the arrangement aimed specifically at ensuring the timely disposal of imported wheat stocks.
