Side-Scrolling Action Adventure ‘Okko The Exiled' Launches September 30 for PC, Consoles Follow in Early 2027

Publisher eastasiasoft and developer Frozen Flame Interactive have announced that side-scrolling action-adventure game Okko The Exiled will launch for PC via Steam and GOG on September 30, 2026. PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch versions will follow in early 2027 through digital and physical releases. The standard edition will cost $14.99, while a $19.99 Deluxe Edition includes the digital soundtrack. Both editions will receive a 10% launch discount during the first two weeks of availability. Okko The Exiled takes place in Kutala, a land inhabited by demons. After spending 1,000 years in hiding, Okko takes up the Mighty Fang and sets out to defeat Demon Lord Yalda and Kutala's other lords. His larger objective is to reconnect his isolated home with the heavens. The gameplay combines side-scrolling exploration, precision platforming, and combat built around chaining different attacks together. Okko can launch enemies, stomp and bounce off targets, shoot, and deflect incoming attacks. Focus Mode deals additional damage and can break enemy shields. Boss encounters feature larger enemies that require players to react to their attack patterns and use Okko's available abilities. His stats can be upgraded over the course of the game, while additional abilities provide further combat and traversal options. Between stages, players can return to The Old Throne, where supporting characters provide items, food, and information. Collectible Deevols provide access to Underground challenge levels for additional combat and platforming encounters.
