Help fund Jefferson County youth at Wabasso Auction

REDWOOD, N.Y. (WWTI) – The Cornell Cooperative Extension (CCE) Association of Jefferson County will host its 'Adventure Awaits' auction to benefit 4-H Camp Wabasso. The in-person fundraiser is scheduled for Oct. 17, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the camp. According to CCE, the auction features items and experiences tailored for all ages. Highlights include a specialty hunt from Lowlands Whitetails Nature Preserve in Lowville, a UTV rental from Timberview Resort, Boldt Castle and Uncle Sam Boat Tour tickets, golf passes, Whitewater Challengers certificates, and passes to The Wild Center and Old McDonald's Farm. Organizers are also accepting additional donations of adventure-themed items and experiences from local businesses and individuals. Marking its 76th year, 4-H Camp Wabasso sits on Millsite Lake in Redwood and serves as Jefferson County's only residential youth camp. It hosts a six-week summer program, weekend and school-break camps, and events like Camp Spooktacular and AG Ventures, alongside Airbnb rentals during the off-season. All auction proceeds will directly support these youth programs.
