110 Probationary Officers Of 54th CTP Visit Parliament House

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Aug, 2026) A delegation of 110 probationary officers of the 54th Common Training Programme (CTP) visited Parliament House in Islamabad on Wednesday. The delegation was welcomed and briefed by Senate Secretary and Joint Secretary Haris Rehman on the structure, functions and role of the Senate. The briefing also covered the constitutional arrangements of the upper house. The officers were informed about the bicameral structure of Parliament and the respective roles of the Senate and National Assembly. The briefing also highlighted the Senate's key functions of representation, legislation and oversight. The delegation was further briefed on the role and functioning of parliamentary committees and the Senate Secretariat. A special interactive question-and-answer session was also held with the delegation. At the end of the visit, a representative of the delegation presented a shield to the Senate Secretary as a token of appreciation.
